Pizza Pockets

My mom made these for us a lot when we were little. She even made *special* pizza pockets on Halloween. I included one of them for the upcoming holiday!
Pizza Pockets
a.k.a. Calzone...but we're from Utah, so we have to use a title that describes the food ;)
3/4 c. warm water
1 teaspoon active dry yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
Dani's Pizza Sauce
Desired Pizza Toppings

1. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Let sit 5 minutes. Add in sugar, salt, vegetable oil, then stir in flour. Knead until elastic.
2. Divide dough into 4 balls. Roll out each to about 1/8 in. thickness.
3. Spoon Dani's Pizza Sauce over half the dough circle, leaving 1/2 inch around the edge. Add desired toppings.

4. Fold dry side of dough over and pinch the open edges together using a fork.5. Cut a small slit in the top of the dough for ventilation.
6. Brush dough with a lightly beaten egg.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.

For Mummy Pizza Pockets...
Spoon sauce and add toppings in the middle of the dough circle.
Use a pizza cutter to cut slits in the dough all the way around, about 1/2 to 1 inch apart. Leave a large triangle-like shape at the top for the head, and two medium triangle shapes at the bottom for feet.Alternating sides, fold strips of dough over to create a mummy look, leaving the head and feet for last. Roll up the dough at the top and bottom to make mini dough balls that look like head and feet. Don't be sad if your toppings ooze out during baking. It's bound to happen a little bit.
